When characters first arrive, they are placed in public housing in the Up and the Down respectively, depending on where they come out. This is provided free of charge but there are a few rules:
» Dominants have apartments with a spare room where a contracted Submissive may move into. They won't allow other Dominants or uncontracted Submissives to move in.
» Players that want private space have to earn the funds and then can get private housing. These must follow asset requirements as listed here.
» Those who have graduated the LIEs program after one year are expected to move out of the provided housing regardless. Uncontracted graduate Submissives will be sent to the Subway, while Dominants are expected to find housing of their own.
» Contracted Dominants and Submissives are expected to share living space for at least half of each month even if they maintain separate residences otherwise.
» If a Dominant has more than one Submissive, one of their Submissives must live with them full time and they will still be expected to open their home for half of the month to any of the others or visit them in their separate living quarters for that time.
Throughout Duplicity there are numerous residential spots. Characters can find an empty penthouse suite or house almost anywhere but the only apartment complexes with multiple open properties are the Public Housing mentioned above. Characters are encouraged to move out and find private properties to live in but cohabitation of multiple couples isn't allowed. Characters that choose to do this will eventually be caught!

| The rooms in the Down's Provided Housing have only the basics, but a buffet-style meal is provided in the cafeteria from eight to eight. Each floor can hold a total of eight occupants with two Submissives per room. Uncontracted graduate Submissives will be sent to the Subway, a halfway house with dormitory-style lodgings with up to five persons assigned to a single dorm. All facilities are communal, including a large shower room, and occupants must abide by a strict curfew. Characters may switch their locations using the forms below if they secure a job that allows them to upgrade, move in with someone else, or a Dominant purchases a Submissive a property/gives a Submissive a new place to live.
