Traditional brooms in canon appear as wood/straw based, but we are given no explanation behind it (if there is any 'power' to them or that the user 'powers' it all by themselves). The ones I had him made in last game were mostly hand waved as 'items from his world' that he had access to, and were similar to what Ortho (his robot brother) is made out of, but we are never told in canon what they are. All it is described as is magical engineering. These were the designs he did in last game.
For the sake of Duplicity I would assume the framework would be something similar to a lightweight but strong metal, or possibly study plastics which are 3D printed, some sort of engine system which uses magic interaction to power it, possibly by enchanted items, or fueled with potions, something that would allow the user to use their magic to interact with the flight ability of the broom. Apologizes, not that well versed on mechanic or hypothetical magical engineering since we are given very little of it in canon.
